Following the heartfelt “Celebration of Life” honoring the late Nipsey Hussle, a huge crowd gathered on the streets of Los Angeles for the 25-mile procession, which trailed through Watts, Inglewood and South Los Angeles, passing by the rapper’s Marathon Clothing store where he was shot and killed.
Fans held balloons and signs that read “The Marathon Continues” as the car was met with honks, chants and blasting his music from speakers to bid a final good bye to their favorite artist. The memorial at the Staples Center featured speeches rap greats, emotional performances and Nip’s longtime partner Lauren London’s tearful tribute to her loved one.
