Nine Inch Nails are back, and their collaborative music video for new single “Came Back Haunted” — directed by famed surrealist David Lynch — is here. It’s a match made in goth rock heaven (or hell, whichever you prefer).
Get ready for plenty of macabre images of demonic faces and distorted figures, as well as throbbing, up-close shots of Trent Reznor’s face. There’s a warning for those with epilepsy to look away, as the video’s been identified as a threat to trigger seizures.
Nine Inch Nails Reveals ‘Hesitation Marks’ Tracklist, Album Collaborators
“Came Back Haunted” is the appropriately-titled lead single from NIN’s new studio album, “Hesitation Marks,” which comes out Sept. 3 via Columbia. The band embarks on an extensive comeback tour — its first since 2009 — beginning July 26 in Japan.
Lynch also has a new album in the works; “The Big Dream,” his follow-up to 2011’s “Crazy Clown Time,” drops July 16 on Sacred Bones.
