Australian DJ and producer Nina Las Vegas is credited for helping to launch the careers of Flume, Flight Facilities and Wave Racer as a tastemaking radio host for the Sydney station Triple J. But thanks to internet platforms like Soundcloud, her reach extends far beyond music circles down under. Over the last few years, she’s amassed a global following of electronic music obsessives who dissect her mixes to find dance music’s next big stars. Last year, she released her first EP, Don’t Send, through Skrillex‘s Nest HQ label.
Next month, Nina Las Vegas (real name: Nina Agzarian) is headed to the U.S. for her first ever North American tour, making stops at SXSW and Winter Music Conference. We’re premiering her latest mixtape exclusively here on Billboard, and it features music from her own EP as well as tracks from Rae Sremmurd, Brodinski and SOPHIE.
Agzarian quipped that working as an Australian DJ has perfectly prepared her for “the stupid amount of coast to coast flights throughout March,” because even playing regional shows in her home country can require her to travel thousands of miles. “After seeing so many of my Australian peers do so well in the States, I’m excited to finally be joining them.”
