Nielsen Music Control has struck a multi-year agreement with Zpav to provide the Polish IFPI affiliate with various data products, from charts to analytical studies.
Nielsen Music Control managing director Eric Weinberg says the Billboard sister company will shortly open an office in the eastern European market, through which it will coordinate its research nationwide.
Until now, PiF PaF Production has handled local airplay monitoring and data collection for that market.
“We are extremely pleased with the fact we will finally have access to the same accurate data as our colleagues in the rest of the European Union,” comments Piotr Kabaj, GM of EMI Music Poland and vice chairman of Zpav.
The Polish move follows the recent opening of Nielsen Music Control office in Turkey. The addition of Poland and Turkey brings its coverage to 19 countries.
