To say that Nicole Scherzinger has struggled to sustain a solo career in the United States since the dissolution of the best-selling girl group the Pussycat Dolls is a gross understatement; the 35-year-old still has yet to release a solo album in the U.S., nearly five years after PCD disbanded. However, Scherzinger’s new single “Your Love,” released on Thursday (May 29), is a surprisingly irresistible pop track that one could reasonably add to their ongoing ‘Summer Jams’ playlist:
The main appeal of “Your Love” rests in its “do-do-do-do” refrain, which arrives after Scherzinger spends some time trying to express how her man’s love makes her feel. The track was produced by The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, who are reportedly working with Scherzinger on her upcoming full-length follow-up to the 2011 international release “Killer Love.”

“Your Love” will be available at digital retail on July 13, and Scherzinger recently shared some beach-set Instagram pics from its music video set. Will “Your Love” catch fire and result in The Redemption of Scherzy? Stay tuned.
