Breakups are never this musical.
Nicole Scherzinger, the U.S.-born singer who found fame with The Pussycat Dolls before going solo and finding a different feline-themed role, had reportedly found love – and lost it — with Ed Sheeran.
Instead of pulling the curtains and turning off her phone, she’s shared a ”Totally Emotional” clip of herself lip-sycing along with Sheeran’s hit “Thinking Out Loud” along with a string of hashtags (the best being #NoMoreSheerzinger).
She wrote, #TotesEmosh (Totally Emotional) that Ed Sheeran and I broke up today#OrangeIsntTheNewBlackAnymore?#ScherzyLosesItAfterSheeranBreakUp #NoMoreSheerzinger …
According to the tabloids, Scherzinger, who was the long-time partner of Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton until they split earlier this year, became close with Sheeran. But the 13-year age gap proved too much (she’s 37, he’s 24). But that’s just scuttlebutt. At closer inspection, Scherzinger’s light-hearted clip puts the joke on the gossip columnists.
Scherzinger currently calls London home. She’s been a popular personality on TV and stage in the U.K. recent years, serving as a judge on the local version of the X Factor and playing the “Glamour Cat” Grizabella in Cats, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s record-breaking West End musical.
