Queen is so much more than an album title for Nicki Minaj. It’s a mindset, and it’s one that inspired her to share some deep thoughts about romance, dating, dating garbage men, dating garbage famous men and the beauty of independence.
On Friday (May 26), Minaj — who recently dropped major hints that she’s dating Eminem — surprised her Twitter followers with an impromptu seminar on romance that read like a series of mini mantras. Her first two began with the same salutation — “#Queen, know your worth” — and stressed that true happiness doesn’t come from curating a happy existence on social media.
“I’ve been proposed to 3 times; asked by 4 boyfriends to have their child,” she writes. “Being emotionally, mentally, or physically abused just to crack a fake smile on the gram & show off a ring is not happiness. Being cheated on, humiliated, belittled… for the gram?”
