After already securing the award for best hip-hop at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 20, Nicki Minaj went for the gusto and unleashed a fiery Queen-themed medley during her glitzy performance.
Performing from the Oculus near the World Trade Center in New York City, Minaj, dressed like royalty, came with an army of scantily-clad dancers and an unflinching swagger that pervaded the room. From the onset, Minaj dived into her her Eminem-assisted track “Majesty.” With avid Minaj fans chanting the lyrics back at their empress with fervor, the Queen star fed off their energy and dazzled.
With her motor on high, Minaj went on to crank out several album cuts, including “Barbie Dreams,” “Fefe” and an a capella version of “Ganja Burn,” which earned thunderous roars from the crowd.
