Nick Jonas might get jealous, but he’s far from a jerk — in real life, at least. In the upcoming TV series Scream Queens, premiering in the fall on Fox, however, Jonas gets to explore that side of himself.
On his other show — DirecTV’s Kingdom — Jonas plays Nate, a reticent MMA fighter, and he sees a little more of himself in that character. “I am similar to Nate in a sense in that I prefer to use my words carefully,” Jonas told HuffPost Live on Thursday (June 11). “And in Scream Queens, I’m a bit more outspoken — and a touch on the sort of prick side. That’s the fun of being an actor: You can be a jerk sometimes.”

While season 2 of Kingdom doesn’t arrive until October, Scream Queens — created by Glee and American Horror Story mastermind Ryan Murphy — is slated for September.
“Working with Ryan Murphy is amazing,” Jonas said of the horror comedy. “He’s a visionary. And once you get on set with him, you see pretty much right away why he’s so successful. I loved working with him.”
