Nick Jonas and Robin Schulz‘s fiery electronic collaboration “Right Now,” out today (Aug. 24), is destined for glory.
It’s a flirty dance-pop tune perfect for summer nights that reveal hidden excitement. A dancehall-inspired rhythm sets the scene for a folk-like melodic hook. Jonas gives a lovesick lean to his performance as he years for his lover to return from some far-off journey. It’s a sultry club mood that lives up to the promise of the dark, red artwork.
Schulz is no stranger to collaboration. He’s released tunes with James Blunt, Akon, Coldplay and Lykke Li, among many others. Furthermore, his 2015 hit “Sugar” has more than 643 million streams on Spotify, while “Prayer in C” broke the top 25 on the Hot 100. As for his own experience with the dance genre, Jonas previously teamed up with Mustard for “Anywhere” in May.
