Shortly after Kanye West called out Nick Cannon and Drake among others for talking about his wife Kim Kardashian, Cannon is coming back with a series of Instagram videos of his own.
The comedian posted two clips from Houston, Texas on Thursday (Sept. 20), congratulating Ye for returning from the “sunken place” the rapper mentioned. “Love and respect for you, you know I always had that. But I honestly gotta say this my dude, I have never said anything disrespectful—in my opinion—to your marriage and union,” he said, rebuking West’s claim that Cannon, who used to date Kardashian, always mentions the reality TV star in interviews.
“I salute it, keep it going,” he continued. “But you’re not gonna tell me what I can and can’t say. I’m a solid individual so if you ask me a question, I’m gonna answer it to the best of my ability. I’mma give my opinion. You know, there ain’t no harm, no foul—I know you got your spirit feeling weird. Holla at me, you know where I’m at.”
In his second video, Cannon invited West to the 200th episode of Wild ‘n Out, even suggesting a mix of “Mariah jokes, Kim jokes.” See below.
