Future tour mates Niall Horan and Lewis Capaldi have teamed up onstage for a cover that we never knew we needed, but we’re so glad we have.

The duo took the stage together at the Allstate Arena in Chicago fro 103.5 KISS FM’s Jingle Ball, where they performed a soothing rendition of Katy Perry‘s “Teenage Dream.”

Both performers played acoustic guitar while delivering the tune, and the result is a heart string-tugging romantic ballad that we need in studio version ASAP.

We’re sure to see more performances from the pals, as Capaldi is scheduled to join Horan on his Nice to Meet Ya North American Spring 2020 tour in support of his upcoming album. The 17-date run kicks off in Nashville on April 20 and will stretch until his May 20 show in San Jose.
