After Niall Horan tried his hand at being a professional caddy last week (and rather famously fell over) during the Masters Tournament, now it’s pro golfer Rory McIlroy‘s turn to play pop star.
Horan revealed that when he brokered the deal to caddy for McIlroy, the golfer agreed to perform with One Direction at a later date.
“That was part of the deal, if I went on the bag with him, he would come on stage and sing with us,” he said, noting that it’s McIlory’s choice about what song he performs when he takes the stage alongside the foursome.
“If he’s allowed to pick, the song then he’s going to do it,” Horan said. He said he’s also heard that McIlroy is a “terrible” singer.
Well fans will see just how good or bad McIlroy is when he joins 1D on stage at the Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts in September. Both 1D and McIlroy will be in the area just in time for that date on their tour, so fans might want to start prepping their “I Heart Rory” signs now.
