Nevermind that snow may hit Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve — the desert destination may have quietly usurped New York City as the country’s most banging music hotspot to ring in 2015. This year, everyone from Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga (with Tony Bennett) and Britney Spears to Robin Thicke, Snoop Dogg and Iggy Azalea will be mounting special concerts on the Strip, with Bruno Mars, Drake and Jermaine Dupri all trying their hands at party emcee duties. Calvin Harris, Alesso, Steve Angello and Zedd are among the bold-faced DJs manning the decks at the city’s biggest clubs.

Of course it wouldn’t be New Year’s without Times Square, and Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2015 will host live performances from Taylor Swift, Idina Menzel, Magic! and Florida Georgia Line, with hosts Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy. The ABC telecast will also include live simulcasts from Elton John‘s show at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and Lady Antebellum and Gavin Degraw from downtown Nashville. (Billboard‘s star-studded Hollywood Party, in L.A., will also feature performances from One Direction, Charli XCX, Iggy Azalea, Jason Derulo, Bastille, Meghan Trainor, Pentatonix and Fergie.)

Elsewhere in the city, Skrillex and Diplo are taking over Madison Square Garden for a super-sized night of EDM, taking the reins from previous New Year’s residents Phish (who’ve relocated to Miami’s American Airlines this year), with Deer Tick, Duke Dumont and Disclosure among the other big draws throughout the night (and that’s just the “Ds”!) Other cities beefing up their New Year’s dance cards? San Francisco, Miami, Nashville and even Dubai, which is hosting not one but two multi-act super-concerts this year.
