Graphic new photos of Rihanna — reportedly taken after the singer was assaulted by Chris Brown in 2009 — have leaked online, just two days after Brown’s restraining order against his ex-girlfriend was eased by a judge.
The images, which appeared on MediaTakeOut, further reveal the extent of the injuries that Rihanna sustained from the beating. One shows the singer with a bruised and partially closed eye, while another reveals a split lip up close.

Until now, only one photo of Rihanna post-assault had been leaked, by TMZ in February 2009. That June, Brown plead guilty to the assault and was ordered to stay at least 50 yards away from Rihanna in general or 10 yards away at entertainment industry events. Brown finished community service and domestic violence counseling in December, posting his certificate of completion on Twitter and writing, “Boys run from their mistakes. Men learn from them!”

This Tuesday, a Los Angeles judge downgraded Brown’s restraining order, barring the singer from “harrassing” Rihanna but allowing verbal communication between the two. Rihanna’s lawyer, who was present at the ruling, said the singer had no objection to the new order.
