Universal Music Mobile International has appointed Nina Hansdotter VP of marketing and A&R, effective immediately. She is based in London and reports to Paris-based UMMI president Cedric Ponsot.
Hansdotter will work closely with Universal Music Group International`s marketing teams. Her role will be to maximize the international promotion opportunities offered by mobile applications for UMGI`s repertoire; to initiate and develop appropriate mobile marketing strategies for new releases; and to develop UMMI’s A&R activity with artists and labels to create specific mobile content.
Hansdotter previously worked for UMGI as VP marketing for the MCA/Dreamworks/Universal Motown labels from 1999-2004. Earlier, she held posts at Universal Music Sweden.
UMMI is the division of UMGI created three years ago to handle the group`s strategy in the mobile area. It has a staff of 150 people and operates in 50 different countries.
