Network Live has won the exclusive rights to broadcast the next Rock in Rio music festival. The agreement applies to all Internet, wireless, satellite and terrestrial radio and TV broadcasting on a global basis, outside of Portugal and Brazil.
According to Network Live CEO Kevin Wall, the event footage will be available on multiple platforms outside of the U.S, where most of Network Live’s broadcasts have taken place. “This is part of our global expansion,” said Wall.
In addition to America Online, DirectTV and XM Satellite Radio, Rock in Rio will be broadcast via wireless operators as well as new partners based internationally to be named later, according to Wall.
The Rock in Rio festival takes place over May 26 -27 and June 2 – 4.
