UK wireless operator O2 has teamed with Network Live to offer subscribers exclusive mobile video clips of Network Live-produced concerts.
Network Live recently won the worldwide distribution rights to the upcoming Rock in Rio music festival, and in the past has broadcast concerts by Green Day, Bon Jovi and Madonna via America Online and XM Satellite Radio.
The Network Live joint venture also includes concert promoter AEG, which is working with O2 on the wireless operators conversion of London’s Millennium Dome into a concert venue called The O2. As part of the Network Live partnership, O2 subscribers will get exclusive previews of acts that will play the venue when it opens, expected in 2007.
