
Netflix just dropped the latest trailer for their new series The Get Down and it’s filled with drama, music and lots of dancing.

The music-driven show, directed by Baz Luhrmann, is set in the Bronx in the late ’70s captures a group of teenagers trying to survive in the troubled streets of the South Bronx and one way or another, make it in the music industry. The story focuses on the rise of hip hop, punk and disco music centering on the stories of young rapper Ezekiel (Justice Smith) and aspiring singer Mylene Cruz (Herizen F. Guardiola).

Oakland actor and rapper Daveed Diggs is the musical drama’s narrator while Nas is executive producing and penned some of the rhymes for The Get Down.
The first six out of 13 episodes of The Get Down premiere on Netflix on Aug. 12. Watch the new trailer below:
