It’s officially summer 2019, and if you can’t get to the sun yourself, Nervo is bringing the sun to you. The duo’s latest single “Worlds Collide” is a feel-good dose of dance pop custom built for beach behavior. In fact, the single is the official anthem for the 2019 Volleyball Nations League.
The upbeat, energetic tune wants to boost your mood and performance. The sisters sing a message of togetherness over cascading melodies and a steady beat. It’s got a brightness fit for pool parties and enough drive to inspire the win, but at it’s heart, it’s about how much better everything can be when we work together. It was inspired by the teamwork vibes of the VNL. The event brings teams together from 16 countries to compete for an international title; Nervo has been working with the League since 2018.
“We’ve had a great year getting to know VNL and were honored when they asked us to write their theme song for the league and be ambassadors to the sport,” Nervo say a joint statement. “We believe that sport and music are a perfect combination. We are super excited to launch the single. It went down so well at last year’s VNL, and the party atmosphere was great. The VNL’s energy includes the fans and athletes from all different countries and cultures, which is what the song is all about.”
“Worlds Collide” is out everywhere on Thrive Music Friday, June 28, but you can listen to its winning rhythm below, excusively on Billboard Dance.
