Celebrated singer-songwriter Neil Diamond, owner of dozens of Top 40 hits dating back to the mid-1960s, announced his engagement to filmmaker/manager Katie McNeil on Wednesday (Sept. 7).
Diamond, 70, broke the news via Twitter, rhyming via couplet, “Good news coming from sunny LA/and you’re the first I want to tell/Katie and I just got engaged/and I hope you wish us well.”
Aside from working as Diamond’s manager, McNeil, 40, produced the 2009 documentary “Neil Diamond: Hot August Night NYC,” as well as films covering artists such as Motley Crue and Public Enemy.
