Needtobreathe will make its TV series debut on the CW’s “Hart of Dixie” in May.
The band will perform its current single “The Heart” in the Rammer Jammer restaurant, where many of the show’s events take place. The scene tapes on Monday (Feb. 24). They performed the song on “Conan” on Feb. 20.
“The Heart” will appear on the band’s seventh album, “Rivers In the Wasteland,” which Atlantic Records will release on April 15.
After debuting at the Grand Ole Opry on April 19, Needtobreathe begins a 28-city headlining tour that runs May 1 through June 25.
Earlier this season, the Head and the Heart performed on the show prior to embarking on an international tour. “The Voice” winner Danielle Bradbery and “American Idol” champ Scotty McCreery have also made musical cameos on the show, as has the group Gloriana.
