Travis Scott faced heavy backlash upon the release of his third studio album, Astroworld, after it became clear NYC trans model Amanda Lepore was removed from his album artwork.
TMZ caught crooner Ne-Yo at LAX on Friday (Aug. 3), when a photographer asked him about the controversy and whether hip-hop should start to embrace the LGBTQ community. “If rap is not embracing them, that’s the only people that ain’t embracing them,” he replied.
“It doesn’t make any sense. I mean, they’re here, they’re not going anywhere. They’re people just like us and I feel like they deserve the same respect.”
