Four members of SM Entertainment’s NCT have teamed up on the emotive new song “Coming Home.”
Performed by Taeil, Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Haechan under the NCT U title — though all four also appear together in NCT 127 — the quartet of vocalists spend the power ballad expressively reflecting on the feeling of going to meet someone who they know is waiting for them.
“Coming Home” marks the return of NCT U, which has released numerous tracks since 2016 featuring members of NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV. The latest songs released under the NCT U title were 2018’s “Boss” and “Baby Don’t Stop.”
Featuring a variety of references to snow and wintertime, “Coming Home” is the first of several songs to come out of SM’s STATION X 4 LOVEs for Winter (2019 SMTOWN Winter) project album coming out this season. The NCT U song was followed by the release of “White Winter” on Sunday (Dec. 15). Performed by a duo known as Woojoo Jjokkomi, which features Super Junior’s Kim Heechul and South Korean comedian Lee Soo Geun, the song was released through a video that also features Super Junior’s Shindong and girl group ITZY as the pair sing a bright, jingling Christmas song acting like rookie singers.
