K-pop boy band NCT 127 has released a new EP through Apple Music as part of its “Up Next” artist series Sunday night (Oct. 21). The four-track album, Up Next: Session NCT 127, features one new song as well as alternative versions of previous singles released by the group.
The album leads off with an English remake of last year’s “Cherry Bomb” before introducing a Domdada remix of the English variant of the group’s new single “Regular.” The third track, bouncing alt R&B tune “What We Talkin’ Bout,” is the EP’s sole original track, and features Marteen. Up Next: Session NCT 127 closes out with a Kago Pengchi remix of the act’s 2016 debut single, “Fire Truck.”
The Apple Music exclusive comes just a little over a week after NCT 127 released their Regular-Irregular album on Oct. 12. It follows the release of several videos and performances from the 10-member act in association with their role as one of Apple Music’s Up Next artists, including appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The new EP Up Next Session: NCT 127 is exclusively available on Apple Music.
Since the group’s start in 2017, NCT 127 has seen four EPs hit the Top 10 of the World Albums chart, and Regular-Irregular is similarly expected to chart. They are one of several groups under SM Entertainment’s NCT identity, which currently encapsulates the careers of 18 men as NCT 2018 and features three teams: NCT 127, NCT Dream and NCT U.
