Earlier today (June 3), it was revealed that K-pop boy band NCT 127 have become the second highest-ranked Korean act ever on the Billboard 200, with their We Are Superhuman EP debuting at No. 11. And now they’re prepping for a new release, with the member repeatedly talking about an upcoming English version of the album’s “Highway to Heaven.”
Released ahead of We Are Superhuman, which dropped on May 24, the expressive synth-pop ballad “Highway to Heaven” arrived on May 14. And based on a few recent moments, it seems like fans will be gifted with an English variant sometime this month.
“I feel like you can look forward to an English version, I don’t know, maybe,” NCT 127’s Johnny teased during the group’s performance at WiLD 94.9’s WAZZMATAZZ on Sunday (June 2).

Then a new video interview with Zach Sang, released on Monday, featured the host expressing his love of the song before saying, “That is going to be your first English record. It’s coming out in June.” While it is their second English single — NCT 127 released “Regular” in both English and Korean last year — none of the members corrected Sang regarding what he said about the upcoming release, and Jaehyun responded by talking briefly about how much the act loves it.
“It’s always interesting to record in different languages cause they all have different vibes,” he said. “Especially recording ‘Highway to Heaven’ was really fun. We tried English versions before, and English lyrics, but this time it was a new type of song, a song that we all liked, so we loved the vibe of this song while recording. We love it.”
NCT 127’s team has yet to confirm or deny the report. Billboard has reached out and eagle-eyed, or eared, fans think they heard a bit of the English version of “Highway to Heaven” in a video the group posted to Twitter on May 29.
