Mariah Carey’s New Year’s Eve disaster is now time-out entertainment in pro sports.
Just one night after Carey’s snafu on national TV, the Indiana Pacers NBA team trolled the pop superstar with a “Lip Sync Cam” featuring “Emotions”.
Hoop fans at Bankers Life Fieldhouse were more than happy to sing along — or more fittingly not sing along — to Carey’s 1991 hit, which came unstuck spectacularly when she performed it during her headlining set for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.
For the record, the home team knocked over the Orlando Magic by the tune of 117-104. Like the Magic, Mariah will look to bounce back soon.
