James G. Gilbertson, CFO of New Hope, Minn.-based independent wholesaler Navarre, has resigned. Gilbertson will consult with the company until Aug. 15, according to a statement.
In announcing Gilbertson’s resignation, Navarre stated it is actively undertaking a search for a new CFO. Gilbertson joined Navarre as CFO in 2001. He was previously the CFO of Intelefilm and prior to that the CFO of Parker Communications. The reason given for Gilbertson’s departure was his desire to “pursue other business interests.”
Eric Paulson, Navarre’s chairman/CEO, said in a statement, “We appreciate Jim’s many contributions to the growth and repositioning of Navarre over the past several years, as well as his professionalism in planning a smooth transition.”
