The free and open-to-the-public party, which runs 10-4 p.m. CT at Stubb’s BBQ, will feature 14 acts on three stages, with free food offerings for all. Also playing will be Anderson Paak & the Free Nationals, an acoustic set by Third Eye Blind frontman Stephan Jenkins, a solo set by Nada Surf‘s Matthew Caws, Matthew Logan Vasquez of the Delta Spirit, Bob Schneider, the Record Company, Declan McKenna, the Strumbellas and The Cringe, fronted by Ray’s husband John Cusimano. Lewis and Naughty by Nature will be making exclusive Austin appearances at Feedback, though Lewis is also on the bill for Willie Nelson‘s Luck Ranch party in nearby Spicewood. More performers are expected to be announced as well.
Ray’s recipes for the day include Dozen-Spiced Fried Chicken Drumettes with Jalapeno Popper grits, Beer & Bourbon Pulled Pork Sliders with pineapple Pico de Gallo, Upside Down Frito Pie and Grilled Corn off the Cob with Pimiento Cheese. Blue Moon Brewing Company will debut its Belgian Table Pils, which it’s releasing nationally on April 1.
It’s Ray’s ninth annual Feedback party during SXSW and seventh at Stubb’s. Despite rain, last year’s event drew more than 3,200 with more than 8,000 food portions dished out.
As is her custom, Ray will also be operating an invitation-only Feedback House from March 17-19, featuring an Ultimate PB&J Bar by Peter Pan Simple Ground Peanut Butter and performances by 15 acts, including Teddy Thompson & Kelly Jones, the Wild Feathers, Flint Eastwood, Lydia Loveless, the Cringe and more.
Both of Ray’s SXSW events will be filmed, with footage airing later on her syndicated talk show.
