Boasting one of the more eclectic guest lists in recent memory, Brazilian-influenced duo N.A.S.A. will unveil its debut album, “The Spirit of Apollo,” Feb. 17 via Anti-.
The 18-track set features guest turns from Kanye West, M.I.A., the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Karen O and Nick Zinner, Tom Waits, David Byrne, George Clinton, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Chuck D, Santogold, the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard and Sizzla, among others.
N.A.S.A., which stands for “North America / South America,” is staffed by Squeak E. Clean (composer/producer Sam Spiegel) and DJ Zegon (skateboarder Ze Gonzales). The duo has been working on the album for five years ever since conceiving it at a party in Brazil.
N.A.S.A. is planning to tour in the near future with “dancers, visual effects, art installations and special guests,” according to a spokesperson.
