The National Assn of Recording Merchandisers presented its new board and officers at the organization’s annual convention this morning. Rachelle Friedman, co-owner of J&R Music World, is chairman, Val Cole, director of worldwide sales at iTunes, is vice chairman; Steve McClanahan, executive VP of strategic marketing at Anderson Merchandisers, is treasure; and Ed Hogan, merchandise leader at Best Buy, is secretary.
The rest of the board of directors consist of Pete Baltaxe, director of digital music at Amazon; Len Cosimano, senior VP of purchasing at Baker & Taylor; Mike Fratt, president of Homers; Adam Mirabella, global director of Nokia’s Ove Music Services; Ed Ruth, director of strategic business development and partner managemen at Verizon Wireless;and John Trickett, CEO of Immergent.
