NARM and the Video Software Dealers Assn. have announced that they are indefinitely suspending merger talks.
After spending seven months doing due diligence for the merger, the NARM board unanimously decided that “at this time, a merger was not in the best interest of NARM’s members,” according to chairman Glen Ward. “Our relationship with VSDA is very important to us and has great value,” he adds. “That will not change.”
While the VSDA “believes that a merger would generate tremendous strategic benefits for both organizations and their respective members, it accepts the NARM board decision,” VSDA board chairman Bob Geistman says in a statement.
