NARM announced today that they would be featuring members of Billboard’s 40 Under 40 list in a keynote panel at their Music Biz 2013 conference this May in Los Angeles.
The panel, called “The Future of the Biz on the Future of the Biz,” will include Joe Belliotti, director of entertainment marketing at Coca-Cola; Ethiopia Habtemariam, executive vice president/head of Urban music at UMPG and senior vice president at Motown; Rebeca León, manager of Juanes and vice president of talent at AEG Live/Golden Voice; and Tricky Stewart, president of A&R at Epic Records. The panelists will be presenting their perspectives on the “artistic and business vision” of the music industry.
“These executives are moving the music industry forward in exciting arenas, from artistic to innovative,” said Jim Donio, president of NARM, in a statement. “Since the goal of Music Biz is to collaborate on new solutions for the music industry of tomorrow, it made perfect sense to partner with Billboard to position these fresh ideas, viewpoints and experiences at the forefront of the program this year.”
Music Biz 2013 will be held May 6-9 in L.A., with the “Future of the Biz” panel the centerpiece of the May 8th program. The panel will be moderated by Billboard’s Phil Gallo. The industry summit will also honor Buddy Guy with its Chairman’s Award for Sustained Creative Achievement, and will present Emeli Sandé with its Breakthrough Artist award and Ted Cohen of TAG Strategic with its Presidential Award for Sustained Industry Achievement.
