Keith Naftaly has been named senior VP of A&R for Sony Music Label Group U.S.
He will maintain offices in New York and Los Angeles and will report to Sony Music president/CEO Don Ienner.
Naftaly will work closely with Ienner, Columbia Records Group president Will Botwin and Epic Records president Steve Barnett on A&R and artist-development issues.
Naftaly comes to Sony from DreamWorks Records, where he served on the executive A&R staff since 2003. During his tenure there, he worked with Q-Tip and on soundtracks for films such as “Shrek 2” and “Shark Tale.”
He has previously held A&R positions with J Records and Arista Records, working on albums like Luther Vandross’ “Dance With My Father,” Kelly Clarkson’s “Thankful,” Santana’s, “Shaman” Rod Stewart’s “Great American Songbook,” Wyclef Jean’s “The Preacher’s Son,” Whitney Houston’s “My Love Is Your Love” and Monica’s “The Boy Is Mine.”
