Music World Entertainment, headed by president/CEO Mathew Knowles, has appointed three new members to its executive staff: Lynn Scott, VP of marketing; Jennifer Carlson, VP of digital strategy and emerging technologies; and Penny Lazo, national director of sales.
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing for the company, Scott will also seek new business and brand-building opportunities with strategic partners. Formerly director of new media at Universal Motown, Carlson most recently was a freelance consultant whose clients included MSN Music and Bad Boy Entertainment. She is based in New York City.
Lazo, based in Dallas, Texas, comes to Music World after a stint at Big Machine Records as national director of sales and marketing. Scott, Carlson and Lazo will work closely with Knowles and report directly to Music World exec. VP Brad Turcotte and COO John Cawley.
