Recently launched Music Nation, a self-described artist development company, has partnered with Clear Channel Radio and Epic Records to launch an online video competition with a global record deal as the main prize.
Music Nation will accept entries for the U.S. competition in mid-November for free, inviting artists 13-years-old and older to submit their video entries in the rock, pop and/or urban genres at MusicNation.com. Starting January 1, entrants will be required to submit $25 with their videos to compete. The contest ends in mid-April.
Three winners, one in each genre, will be chosen and receive a record deal with Epic.
Additional competitions are planned for next year in Asia, with Typhoon/EMI as a partner, and Europe and Latin America, with Mercury Records signed on for those regions.
