
As the Billboard Hot 100 top songs chart turns 60 this year, the annual Music Business Association conference in Nashville will focus on the weekly tally with a panel discussion scheduled for Wednesday.
The panel, titled “The Billboard Hot 100 Turns 60,” will be moderated by NYU Steinhardt music business program director Larry Miller and will feature speakers Steve Bartels, co-founder of the 12 Tone Music Group; Republic Records founders Avery and Monte Lipman; and Billboard’s VP of charts & data development Silvio Pietroluongo. It will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday in Legends D at the Omni Nashville.
Music Biz is also celebrating its 60th anniversary this year and will be held May 13-17. The event’s full schedule has been announced and includes over 100 panels, workshops and presentations throughout the week
