Muse will beam down and unleash their intergalactic brand of prog-rock from the main stage of Glastonbury Festival this June.
The British trio will headline the Pyramid Stage on the Friday night (June 24) of this year’s fest, organizers have announced.
It’ll be Muse’s third Pyramid headline appearance and they’ll become the first act to top the bill on all three nights of the famous U.K. fest, having played last on the Sunday night of the 2004 event and on Saturday in 2010.
Glastonbury Festival to Honor David Bowie By Screening 2000 Performance
Muse, whose Drones took out Best Rock Album honor at the 2016 Grammy Awards, join Coldplay (Sunday night) as confirmed headliners for this year’s Glastonbury, which runs from June 22-26. PJ Harvey and Jeff Lynne’s ELO have also been confirmed to the lineup. Glastonbury Festival founder Michael Eavis has said his team will pay tribute to David Bowie by screening the great British singer’s career-spanning main stage performance from 2000.
