MTV One, MTV U.K.’s main channel, will screen a Pete Doherty documentary early next year as part of its new line-up of original programming and acquisitions.
“Pete Doherty In 24 Hours” follows the Babyshambles singer as he prepares for his catwalk debut for the Gio Goi label. The channel will also air “The Celebrity Agency” and “My Super Sweet 16 U.K.”
The three shows were ordered by Heather Jones, director of television, MTV Networks U.K. & Ireland, and commissioned by David Booth, VP, programming.
“MTV UK has a successful track record for producing some of the best genre-defining entertainment programmes,” said Jones in a statement. “And MTV remains committed to ensuring that our audience can enjoy these shows wherever and whenever they want, by offering content on the web and for mobile, as well as on TV.”
MTV One will also premiere acquired series including “Scream Queens,” “The City” and “50 Cent: The Money & The Power.” “Scream Queens” was part of a first-look deal with Lionsgate Television.
