MSN Music is partnering with American Express to promote its new music service. The move marks the service’s first strategic partnership since it formally launched Oct. 12.
American Express cardmembers, including holders of the Blue from American Express credit card, Delta SkyMiles credit card or the American Express charge card can earn free music in two ways:
Card users can earn one free song credit for every 10 songs purchased. Additionally, for a limited time, new applicants for Blue from American Express or Blue Cash from American Express will receive a minimum of 10 free MSN Music downloads. The download credits will be awarded upon card approval.
MSN Music is also launching a co-branded site called “In The Mix” for the adult alternative music genre. Sponsored by American Express, the site provides in-depth coverage of newly discovered artists. Its main features include articles and album release news.
