Directed by Sam Esty Rayner, the clip gives Morrissey’s fans in Reykjavik, Tilburg and the U.S. a taste of what they’ve missed out on — a rather unenthusiastic Moz performing on a stage. A bevy of under-dressed ladies inexplicably appear in the final minute of the clip.
“Kiss Me A Lot” appears on Morrissey’s most recent album, World Peace Is None of Your Business. The artist had a big-time fallout last year with his U.S. label Harvest over the album release. In one of his most famous sprays at the record company (which he has since disowned), Morrissey had complained that Harvest wouldn’t invest in promotional videos to support his 10th album.
Morrissey last week announced a bunch of new U.S. dates, beginning June 11 in New Orleans.
