Morrissey’s latest studio album, “You Are the Quarry,” will be reissued in a deluxe edition Dec. 7 via his Attack imprint for Sanctuary. The original album comprises disc one, while the second disc sports nine B-sides, two music videos and three live performances from “The Late Late Show With Craig Kilborn.”
Morrissey has been playing a number of the B-sides on his current North American tour, including “Teenage Dad on His Estate,” “Munich Air Disaster 1958,” “The Never Played Symphonies” and “Don’t Make Fun of Daddy’s Voice.” The track list is rounded out by “It’s Hard To Walk Tall When You’re Small,” “Friday Mourning,” “My Life Is a Succession of People Saying Goodbye,” “Mexico” and “I am Two People.”
The new edition’s visual component comprises videos for album tracks “Irish Blood, English Heart” and “First of the Gang To Die” and Morrissey’s performances of the latter track plus “Let Me Kiss You” and “I Have Forgiven Jesus” on Kilborn’s show. A gallery of 32 images from the artist’s 2004 tour rounds out the package.
“You Are the Quarry” debuted at No. 11 on The Billboard 200 in May, earning Morrissey his highest placement either as a solo artist or as a member of the Smiths. The set has sold more than 179,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The next North American single from the album, “I Like You,” is expected early next year.
