Dubbing the outing Turn It Up & Bring It On, Montgomery Gentry and Trace Adkins will join forces for a stretch of early 2005 roadwork. The pairing will kick off the trek Feb. 3 in Madison, Wis., playing arenas and theaters that will include general admission sections in addition to reserved seating.
“Right there on the floor is where I always like to be — that’s where the party really happens,” the country duo’s Eddie Montgomery says in a statement. “Who knows, we may end up down there with them,” adds his cohort, Troy Gentry.
At deadline, 20 dates are confirmed for the run, through an April 23 show in Dayton, Ohio, with more shows expected. “We’re going to give the fans 110 percent at every show and we won’t leave anything on the bus,” Adkins says.
Concerts set for Feb. 24 in Sioux City, Iowa; Feb. 25 in Grand Forks, N.D.; and Feb. 26 in Brookings, S.D., go on sale Dec. 11; other on-sale dates have not yet been announced.
As previously reported, both groups plan to close out the year at the second annual Montgomery Gentry & Friends Rockin’ New Year’s Eve Party in Lexington, Ky. Also on hand will be veteran Southern rock act Lynyrd Skynyrd, which recently taped an episode of “CMT Crossroads” with Mongomery Gentry that will premiere Dec. 10 on the cable channel.
