Fresh-faced boy band Monsta X joins the KCON 2015 lineup, joining the Los Angeles lineup for America’s biggest K-pop festival.
The hip-hop-focused outfit was created on the South Korean reality show No Mercy, which cut down 12 K-pop star hopefuls training under Starship Entertainment (home to popular acts like K.Will and Sistar, the latter group who will also take the Staples Center stage) to a seven-member boy band last winter. KCON marks the guys’ first U.S. performance.
Monsta X only dropped their debut single “Trespass” last month, charting at a respectable No. 14 on Billboard‘s World Digital Songs chart.
Monsta X gets added to the robust West Coast lineup for KCON. While still only two acts are confirmed for the inaugural East Coast date, KCON announced they’ll reveal a new artist every day this week ahead of L.A. tickets going on sale later this week. Stay tuned to Billboard‘s K-Town for the latest announcements.
