If it’s one thing moms do best, it’s knowing how to embarrass their kids.
In a viral video from the “fan cam” at a University of Maryland basketball game, Mandy Remmell is full-blown rocking out to Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone,” complete with dance moves and lip syncing into her iPhone. Her 10-year-old son, Blake, is visibly mortified, pushing his mom away and covering his face with his sweatshirt.
“I was like, I love Kelly Clarkson, so I started singing and then, all the sudden we noticed, oh there on us,” Remmel told Washington D.C. local news station WJLA. “So, I just started singing directly to him, and he was not having it.”
Blake, even though he was embarrassed at the game, had a good attitude about it in hindsight. “If you do some things that are fun, then your kids will really like you,” he said. “But if you don’t do a lot of things that are fun, then they probably won’t like you that much.”
