Through an ongoing partnership with Major League Baseball Properties, some concertgoers attending the 2008 Projekt Revolution tour could walk away with access to exclusive, unreleased by tracks by Linkin Park and other acts on the 24-date summer trek.
Random fans at each show will be give a lanyard, which can be exchanged at any Champs Sports store for a free USB wristband containing four unreleased Linkin Park MP3s, along with five songs from other artists on Projekt Revolution, including Busta Rhymes and Ashes Divide. Additionally, Champs Sports shoppers who spend at least $50 on Major League Baseball products will receive a free USB wristband.
As previously reported, the fifth installment of Projekt Revolution launches July 16 at the Tweeter Center outside Boston and wraps Aug. 24 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston. Other acts on the jaunt are Chris Cornell, the Bravery, Atreyu, 10 Years, Hawthorne Heights, Armor For Sleep and the Street Drum Corps.
As in years past, Major League Baseball Properties will have an onsite presence at Projekt Revolution with its Access to the Show program, which will showcase the MLB Authentic Collection line of apparel. Also returning this year is the MLB Road Show, a high-tech tractor-trailer outfitted with pitching and batting cages and kiosks featuring videogame titles.
As part of the sponsorship, a number of Champs Sports’ 600 U.S. stores will feature in-store signage that promotes this year’s Projekt Revolution tour.
