It turns out everyone, even Miss America contestants, love Anna Kendrick’s Pitch Perfect performance of “Cups.”
For the talent portion during Sunday night’s Miss America pageant, Miss New York Kira Kazantsev performed Pharrell’s song “Happy,” along with the “Cups” routine. The judges were impressed: Kazantzsev went on to take home the Miss America title. (Counterpoint: Some people argued that an elaborate cup routine is not a “talent.”)
Even Kendrick weighed in on the buzzy performance on Twitter.
