She may be the tough girl who sings about “Gunpowder and Lead,” but CMA Female Vocalist of the Year Miranda Lambert will try out a different role when she’s the victim on an upcoming episode of the NBC series “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.”
“Y’all, I’m so freaking excited to be on my favorite show ever!!!” tweeted the singer over the weekend. It will be Lambert’s acting debut. In the episode, to air next season, she will portray an actress who is sexually assaulted by a reality television producer, played by actor (and Spinal Tap guitarist) Michael McKean.
Also appearing in the episode will be Harry Connick, Jr.
Lambert will kick off the latest leg of her “On Fire” tour on Thursday with a concert appearance in Rockford, IL. Also on the bill are Chris Young and Jerrod Niemann.
