Activists gathered at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., Saturday (Oct. 10) to honor the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March and to protest racial inequality.
Among the thousands-strong crowd were rappers J. Cole, Common and Jay Electronica, according to numerous photos of the artists posted on social media Saturday. The rally was a trending topic on social media, with #MillionManMarch and #JusticeOrElse being the top hashtags. See some of the social media posts below.
Many who marched in the crowd were filmed chanting the chorus to Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly track “Alright,” Complex reports. The event was being live streamed on Revolt’s website.
