New artist Lance Miller has asked for his release from Warner Bros. Nashville.
“I realize how troubled they are as a record company and they will have many careers to deal with, but I just have one,” Miller said in a statement. “I am grateful for the opportunity but I need to move on and build a relationship with radio and the fans.”
Warner Bros. has released two singles from Miller, “She Really Loves Me” and “The Beach,” although neither charted on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs.
Miller, who is managed by RPM Management, opened a number of shows on Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s “Soul2Soul Tour 2007.” McGraw is also an RPM client.
Miller was a finalist on USA Networks’ “Nashville Star” competition in 2004.
